The injury occurred during the first half and the early diagnosis isn't a good one.
Danilo has suffered a suspect compound fracture after a sickening head collision in Rangers' match with St Johnstone.
The forward rose highest in a battle with Liam Gordon to nod his team in front during a Premiership match in Perth, but it's came at a facial cost for the forward. Still images displayed his eye all swollen up instantly after the knock and despite giving a thumbs up as the medics look to get him off the park, it didn't look good for the summer signing from Feyenoord.
A stretcher did appear on the park to help him but he managed to walk off the McDiarmid Park pitch on his own two feet. The game is being broadcast live on Sky Sports and commentator Ian Crocker has revealed that the forward has picked up a suspected fracture. Up next for Rangers is the Europa League oopener against La Liga outfit Real Betis.
Crocker said: "He's left the stadium and been taken to hospital, with a suspected compound fracture."
