New boss not looking to long-term future as he is fully focused on remaining games of current campaign
Declan Devine is targeting a big finish to the season after taking over the reins at Glentoran saying their remaining fixtures are all "cup finals".
“There are massive things to fight for. This club deserves to be at the top of Irish football, I believe," he said. “There are no guarantees but the reality is there are seven or eight cup finals coming up and we’ve got to make sure we’re at our very best for every one of them, because we are not in a position where we can look down our noses at anyone.“We must give everything that we have between now and the end of the season and see where it takes us.
Devine admitted it had been the "most insane week" following his departure from Bohemians before heading back to the Oval at least until the end of this current season, where he had a two-year spell as a player in the mid-1990s. He said his full focus is on the next six weeks with any discussion on the future put off until the end of the season.
