Lancaster County voters who received a mail-in ballot with an error now have another option to make sure their vote is counted correctly.The elections board passed a motion Wednesday that will allow affected voters to go to the county election office to ensure they didn't make a mistake.About 24,000 voters were sent ballots with instructions to use a white secrecy envelope, but those same voters received a yellow envelope.The mistake was discovered Oct. 5.
The elections office posted updated instructions on its website and sent out thousands of emails, but knows some voters may still be confused.Voters have until 5 p.m. Nov. 6, the day before the election, to go to the election office to have their ballot checked.As for the error, leaders said they're doing their best.
