A fire has broken out at Recycling Lives in Longridge Road.Six fire engines from Preston, Fulwood, Penwortham, Bamber Bridge, Skelmersdale and Chorley along with the aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn attended.Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using two hose reel jets and a ground monitor have been extinguishing the fire.
The public have been asked not to fly drones nearby, and to keep windows and doors closed if they can see or smell smoke.Preston Police said around 1pm on Sunday: “There is currently heavy congestion on Longridge Road at the junction with Bluebell Way. This is due to an ongoing incident in the area.
