South Lanarkshire Pride in Hamilton on Saturday saw thousands of locals and visitors attend the area's first-ever Pride march.
The first South Lanarkshire Pride march “massively exceeded all expectations” so much so that its organisers aim to make it an annual tradition.

“We spend months planning with the hope that people benefit from it and to see it land so well for that many people was special. Scottish comedy legend Karen Dunbar was one of many of note to show their support, including local politicians such as MSP Monica Lennon, Christina McKelvie MSP and SNP General Election candidate for Hamilton and Clyde Valley Ross Clark.The Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse MSP has praised the footfall that has increased due to events like this.
