German police have made a second arrest in their investigation into a knife attack at a diversity festival in Germany which killed three people on Friday.
The attack, which took place during a free festival in Fronhof central square at around 9.45pm, was carried out 'in revenge for Muslims in Palestine and everywhere', the statement added. Pictures from the scene outside the refugee centre on Saturday showed a person being escorted from the building by officers and bungled into a police van.
Police cordoned off Fronhof central square on Saturday and passers-by placed candles and flowers outside the barriers. Mourners also gathered for a memorial service in Solingen's city center earlier today in memory of the victims.
