The Diamonds have Gers loanee Kieran Wright and Hibs loan star Murray Johnson battling it out
Airdrie player-boss Rhys McCabe admits he doesn't know who will be his No.1 goalkeeper this season after Rangers loanee Kieran Wright made a stunning save in their win over Queen of the South on Saturday.
Both have played two games apiece in the group stages of the Premier Sports Cup, with 19-year-old Johnson between the sticks for the 8-0 win over East Kilbride and the 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen, while 24-year-old Wright featured in the 4-3 win at Dumbarton and the 2-0 win over Queens that secured their place in the last 16 of the cup.
He said: "Kieran's save probably comes from our own doing but that is his job. He is in there to make big saves and there will be times when he is required when hasn't been involved or not really touched the ball in a large period of time. Credit to him, he made a big save and that was the catalyst for the clean sheet."We will assess that in training.
