A family have been left completely heartbroken after their three beloved dogs, Bailey, Max and Alfie, lost their lives following a horrendous house fire on Friday.
A family from Glasgow has been left devastated after their three adored dogs lost their lives in a horrific house fire.
Emergency services were quick on the scene at around 4.50pm and managed to save two of the dogs, however, the eldest, Bailey, was sadly found dead in the bath of the home.Despite the best efforts of vets both Max and Alfie succumbed to their injuries a few days later."My dad's neighbour had called to say his home was on fire. At that time she didn't know the dogs were in the house.
"The husband of the neighbour who called me also ran into the house to get my dad. So my dad has severe burns on his face and scarring.The dogs were a massive part of Gillian and her daughter's lives ever since they were adopted into the family.Sign up to our daily Glasgow Live newsletter here to receive news and features direct to your inbox"Bailey was the eldest and he was just so placid and tolerant. At the start, he was quite a nervous dog because he came from a bad background.
Not only have they lost their loved pets in horrific circumstances, but, Gillian's dad has now been left without a home or a majority of his belongings after the inferno.The nurse said: "The whole house has been written off. I was in the house for the first time recently and it was shocking."Nothing could be saved. The window and the door of the kitchen blew off. All my dad had left were the clothes on his back.
"I have no words. I'm just so grateful. It's incredible the support. I get messages all of the time from strangers offering their support."
