Alix Ferrie's Land Rover caught fire while her terrified four-year-old Kodi Ferrie and her 11-month-old brother Brian were inside. Her insurers initially refused to meet the sum she paid to a dealer for the car just a few months earlier.

An insurance company has apologised for their treatment to a mum over her claim after her children nearly died in a freak blaze.
