A man and a woman were arrested after armed police responded to the 'disturbance' in Panfield Road
A man and a woman who were arrested after a violent attack in Wythenshawe have both been bailed, police have confirmed.
He was rushed to hospital from the scene. A 33-year-old man and 42-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.In an update issued today , a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said they had both since been bailed. Neighbours on Panfield Road claimed that a brawl broke out following a year of torture' between residents over children playing football outside their homes.
A mother-of-three, who lives at the property, told the Manchester Evening News she had been told by the police to move out for her own safety. As she collected valuables from home with a friend, she alleged the incident was sparked by an argument over kids playing outside repeatedly kicking footballs at their home.
She said the trouble on Sunday night began when a brick was thrown at their front window. She alleged it was the third time the window had been broken in the last year. She claimed the incident then 'escalated where it didn't need to go'.
