Our celebrations in the aftermath of the latest major order victory in Helldivers 2 may be short-lived. Following our successful injection of Dark Fluid into the planet’s core, Meridia has since been obliterated and turned into a black hole…or so we thought. Some players claim that Meridia’s destruction “cannot produce a black hole that big.” Instead, what we’re looking at could be a wormhole — an intergalactic pathway perfect for The Illuminate to wreak even more havoc on the Galactic War.
So it may be through our folly that another extraterrestrial species is on its way to terrorize Super Earth and its neighboring planets. Of course, this is still mere speculation since the developers have yet to reveal what the singularity actually is. For all we know, it could just be a temporary phenomenon left behind by tons of Dark Fluid being expelled from Meridia’s core.
