A new conversation with Ship Master Fritzell reveals the development of a Super Weapon in Helldivers 2 that will become part of the story.
The Helldivers 2 story is constantly evolving, although largely off-screen, with most of the lore being developed as part of the Major Orders. Recently, we have seen the Terminids become “a greater threat than ever before” following them becoming resistant to the Termicide used to keep them at bay. Now, as the Automatons continue to grow in numbers and strength, Super Earth is working on a new “Super Weapon” and it should be becoming a major part of the story soon.
” It is unclear what this new Super Weapon could be, but some users on Reddit are theorizing it could be a new vehicle, which has been expected to come to the game for a while, with u/BearcatDG saying “We need vehicles. If we’re fighting a full blown war, we need to get mechanized. Combined arms warfare!” But, it is also likely that it could just be part of the lore and not a Stratagem that players will use, similar to the Termicide and it will be something mentioned in the Major Order text.
