Ian McKellen has spoken out about his horror stage fall, admitting that he was 'lucky' as he detailed the extent of his injuries on BBC Breakfast
Ian McKellen has opened up about his severe injuries and gave an update following his terrifying fall on stage. The Burnley-born actor, 85, experienced a dramatic tumble in June while performing in Player Kings at London's West End, resulting in a broken wrist and a chipped vertebra.
The acclaimed actor, renowned for his role as John Falstaff in the play , confirmed that he is currently "fine", although he did acknowledge that the accident was a shocking experience, reports the Express. Upon being asked if he remembered how it happened, Ian recounted the incident saying: "I was moving about then my foot got caught on a chair, which I tried to kick off but doing that I fell forward like I was on a skateboard down onto the stage, which is a three foot drop."
