The team behind Brewski in Chorlton have launched their new deep-dish pizza spot in Ancoats
Deep-fried calzone, cheesy garlic knots, and real Chicago-style pizza pies - basically think of anything deliciously deep fried and glistening in oil and you have American Pies.
The bar, which was left empty for a year boasts an entirely new proposition resembling a Italian-American diner. With black and white checkerboard tiles, dark timbre-clad booths and walls and its warming lighting, it sets the tone nicely. “We are going to have over double the capacity at the new site which should make it slightly easier for people to get a table. We will also have outdoor seating and draught beer at last!”
Have it straight up with mozzarella, parmesan and basil or upgrade slightly to the Pepperoni with adds-ons like jalapeno, hot honey and double pepperoni for a little extra. There's also variations like the Buffalo Chicken , Nduja and Goats Cheese and Veggie Max . Mains also span brisket lasagne with bacon béchamel , garlic bread 'focaccia heroes' with variations like the Korean short rib and 'dirty tots' with everything from Texas BBQ brisket and fried chicken available as toppings.
