Aberdeen’s former chief Keith Wyness has insisted Brendan Rodgers can “turn things around” and get Celtic back on track in the Champions League this season., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Aberdeen between 2000 and 2004, had lengthy spells as the chief of Everton and Aston Villa and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – suggested the Scottish champions’ recent result against Borussia Dortmund was “embarrassing”.
Rodgers’s side still have to make the trips to Atalanta, Dinamo Zagreb and Aston Villa in the competition, while they will face RB Leipzig, Club Brugge and Young Boys at home.Wyness has insisted Celtic have enough quality to make it through to the knockout rounds despite their recent European setback.“Now they seem to beat Rangers quite regularly and it is being judged about how they get on in Europe.
