The project, expected to continue until December 15th, 2025, aims to enhance safety for cyclists and pedestrians, involving signal-controlled junctions, new pedestrian crossings, and bridge maintenance work.

A TfL spokesperson added: "This scheme will improve safety on the bridge and at both the northern and southern junctions. "Protect and provide time for cyclists to safely connect to existing cycle routes, such as Cycleway 8 on Milbank."
