The playmaker will wear blue and amber in 2024.
Matt Frawley will be a Leeds Rhinos player next year after securing his move to the club. Rugby League Live revealed last month that the club had launched a move for the Canberra Raiders halfback and that deal is now thought to have been completed, ensuring he will join the Headingley club next season.
Frawley, who has previous experience of playing in Super League with Huddersfield Giants, has made 51 NRL appearances, including a recent try-scoring outing for the Green Machine. He has also previously played for Canterbury Bulldogs. The Rhinos are on the lookout for halfbacks given neither Aidan Sezer nor Blake Austin will be at the club next season. That has seen them turn to Frawley, who made 22 appearances in a solitary season with Huddersfield before returning to the NRL. He has also played regularly in New South Wales Cup.
It's the latest piece in the puzzle for coach Rohan Smith, who has been given more food for thought following the ongoing developments relating to Nene Macdonald, whose future appears unlikely to be at Headingley after not returning to the UK as expected following the birth of his child. The Rhinos are thought to be on the lookout for another halfback, a forward and now a centre.
