After a long gestation, Montero is finally here!
The new album boasts 15 songs, where Lil Nas X takes the genre-fusing approach that made his breakout single"Old Town Road" such a smash hit, and applies it to an entire album's worth of rocking singles. Spread throughout the album as well are a number of special guest appearances, including stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Elton John, and of course Jack Harlow on"Industry Baby.
Starting with his No. 1 single"Montero " back in March, and continuing through his latest No. 2 hit"Industry Baby," Lil Nas X has methodically rolled out his long-awaited 15-song LP using controversial viral videos, fake pregnancy announcements, and even some very funny billboards to make sure that fans would be tuned in to the new project.
The 22-year-old rapper recently made waves at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards, where he delivered a spicy performance of his song"Industry Baby," and eventually took home video of the year for his controversy-driven visual for"Montero ." In accepting the night's top prize, Lil Nas had one thing to say:"Thank you to the gay agenda!"
