The former left-back is passing the torch to his Honduras pal and hopes he can reach some of the success he did in Glasgow.
Emilio Izaguirre appears to have doubled down on his ringing endorsement of Luis Palma - by ordering a Celtic shirt with his name on the back.
The former left-back spent seven seasons in Scotland, racking up more than 250 appearances and winning seven straight league titles. But now he's happy to hand the Celtic torch to his pal as he shared a snap on Instagram of a shirt with Palma's name and number on the back. If Palma can attain half the success Izaguirre did then he'll certainly be calling it a win.
“We spoke about it and had a good laugh about it because that’s what every player wants to do. You want to come in and play in front of a lot of fans. It’s something that I’m looking to try and do and I’m excited about it.”
