Manchester United could be free to complete a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte after the Ligue 1 champions signed Joao Neves from Benfica.

However, it is understood that United would need to sanction the exit of one midfielder - Scott McTominay is of interest to other clubs - before making a move for Ugarte, who signed for PSG from Sporting CP in a deal worth roughly £51m last summer. In June, it was reported by L'Equipe that United had an opening bid rejected for the 23-year-old, with PSG deeming the offer below their valuation of the midfielder.
