Money expert Martin Lewis has issued an update on the timing of the compensation decision for millions of women. He has told his followers the decision is due today.
It come after a long fight by women who saw their retirement age aligned with that of men. Women Against State Pension Inequality say millions lost out as a result and campaigned for compensation saying their retirement plans had been harmed by the change. Martin Lewis announced the timing on Wednesday saying it was likely to be today. The ITV The Martin Lewis Money Show star and BBC Sounds podcast host wrote: "This is potentially huge economic news, but also likely to be very welcome for #WaspiWomen and similar, if confirmed."
