Humor columnist JasonGay is (temporarily) sharing his home with six foster cats. The kids are thrilled, but he’s not sure how he feels about these furry houseguests.
I share a home with six cats. Please don’t get the wrong idea. It’s temporary. My wife and our two children decided to “foster” a cat from the local animal shelter, and though I had significant reservations about this idea, I didn’t have the votes. It was 3-1, cats.
Initially, I was told we would foster one cat. Somehow, upon my wife and children visiting the shelter, “one cat” became “six cats.” Technically, it’s five kittens, with a mother, which, my wife assures me, is less cat volume than two adult cats. That does not comfort me. I see six cats.
