Snow expected in lots of areas next week
The Met Office has raised a yellow weather alert and a 42-hour warning for snow and ice across parts of England, Scotland and other regions. Experts predict snow flurries will occur from Sunday November 17 to Tuesday November 19.
While Southern Britain is set for dry conditions with some sunshine on Friday, frost and fog are likely overnight. Northern areas will experience windier conditions, with possible gales in the far north and rain proceeding from the northwest. Over Saturday, the rainfall will spread south, with cold air reaching the southern regions by nightfall, reports Birmingham Live.Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Rebekah Hicks said: "A notable early winter cold spell will arrive across the north from Sunday and will likely reach all parts of the UK by midweek."
