The chain still has another branch at the city's Victoria Centre
Mexican fast food restaurant Tortilla has closed one of its Nottingham city centre shops. The branch in Clumber Street has said farewell for good, with signs directing customers to another branch.
The company said: "We've shut out doors. Don't worry though - your burrito fix is just a three minute walk away at our Victoria Centre spot." The Clumber Street restaurant was the first Tortilla to open in Nottingham in 2015, replacing a former Phone 4U shop. It was followed soon afterwards by a second restaurant in the shopping centre, which continues to serve burritos, tacos, quesadillas, salad bowls and nachos. Customers can eat in, takeaway or have a delivery.
The closure comes just as another Mexican burrito chain announced it's going to be opening in Nottingham. Boojum will be bringing its award-winning food to Lower Parliament Street later this year. Jobs are currently being advertised. To try and make things a little easier, we have now launched a new WhatsApp community to bring you the latest news and headlines straight to your phone. We'll be bringing you all the headlines from across Nottinghamshire directly to WhatsApp - and you will get the breaking news first.
