A poll of 1,000 new parents found 47 per cent of the top 'little wins' include your baby smiling at you, them sleeping through the night and having a good day at nursery
A survey of 1,000 new parents has shed light on the small victories they cherish in their baby-rearing journey from maintaining a clean house for a whole day to receiving a smile from their little one.
Susanne Bisinotto, spokesperson for Vitabiotics Wellbaby vitamins, which commissioned the study, commented: "When you have a baby, you start to appreciate getting the basics right and anything else is a bonus." The research further revealed that parents experience an average of five 'parenting wins' each week during the newborn and toddler stage including perfecting the nap schedule and managing a leak-free nappy day.
Despite 70 per cent of parents finding having a child more challenging than anticipated, and an overwhelming 98 per cent needing to Google something related to childcare in the first year, 82 per cent say that daily 'little wins' helped them through tough times.
