The man suspected of killing of three people during a horror knife rampage in Nottingham has been named locally
as Valdo Amissão Mendes Calocane.
Ian Coates, who was in his 60s, was later found dead near Mapperley Park, Nottingham, sometime after 5am. The primary school caretaker was fatally attacked less than two miles from the scene of the first two murders and his van had been stolen. According to reports, Calocane was a mechanical engineering student at the University of Nottingham before graduating in 2022. Counter-terrorism police are assisting with inquiries into the attack, however they are not leading the investigation, the BBC reports.
The witness said: “Being a hot night, I had the window open and I just heard some awful, blood-curdling screams.
