Colin Cambray died while a prisoner at HMP Haverigg in Cumbria
. A now published report by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman , which investigates deaths in custody, reveals he died on January 19 this year.
On another occasion, the former coach company worker touched the girl under a blanket. the PPO report states that he died from a hypoxic brain injury caused by a cardiac arrest, which was triggered by the presence of air or gas in the cavity between the lungs and chest wall, reports the M.E.N. "She found that appropriate reviews were held when Mr Cambray's physical health deteriorated, staff responded appropriately to the emergency code and transferred him to hospital when it was clinically indicated."
The report was published after an inquest into his death was held earlier this month. A coroner concluded he died of natural causes.
