Little is known about the group that left the unofficial caution
A mysterious community group has begun leaving unofficial notices of traffic offences on cars in a south Manchester suburb.
The notice informed them that they were committing an offence “under the Road Traffic Act 1988, Road Vehicles Regulations 1986 and the Highways Act 1980”. It was signed by hand, “for and behalf of the Levenshulme Community Action Group”. “Anyone know who's behind the Levenshulme Community Action Group?” wrote the Levenshulme News, who first spotted the notice, on Facebook and Twitter. “Spotted this official looking warning of a traffic violation on a car that was parked across the cycle entrance.”
