University of Saskatchewan Huskies teams and their athletes are getting busy with Canada West playoffs and U Sports national championships
The Huskies, who knocked off the Mount Royal University Cougars just a few days ago in Calgary, return to the same city to meet the top-ranked University of Calgary Dinos in Canada West best-of-three semifinal action Thursday, Friday and, if necessary, Saturday.Stay on the ball with the 306 Sports Fix newsletter.
The Dinos have not lost a game since 2022, winning 23 straight. The Huskies split a series with the Dinos earlier in the season at Calgary and pushed them to a pair of double-overtime games in Saskatoon in January. “The match-up is great. It’s going to be a very emotional, physical series and it’s going to be very tightly contested. They’re a great team and they haven’t lost in a long time, but we feel good going in just based on how we played last weekend and how we played against them this year.”Article content
“Nobody’s picking us to win and I don’t think anybody was picking us to win against Mount Royal, either. Internally, you’ve got to block out the noise and do your thing, stick with your process and believe in what you’re doing.
