The vehicle was parked on Broomfield Street, near the junction with South Biggar Road, on Wednesday night when it was torched in what officers are treating as a wilful fire.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Constable David Williamson of Coatbridge CID, said: "We are fortunate that no one was hurt in this reckless act, but the damaged caused to the vehicle is significant. "Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are urging anyone with information or who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to come forward."We are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have dashcam footage or private CCTV from the surrounding area that could assist with our enquiries."Alternatively, those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
