Princess Anne shared her thoughts on younger members of the Royal family attempting to modernise the Firm in a rare interview as she warned them against trying to 'reinvent the wheel'
Princess Anne warned younger royals against 'trying to reinvent the wheel' as she candidly shared her thoughts on philanthropy.
Opening up about her role in the Royal Family, Anne revealed concerns over attempts to update the monarchy's traditional approach to charity work. She mentioned this sometimes led to overlooking past experiences, noting: "You don't necessarily look at the previous generations and say, 'Oh, you did that? Or, you went there?'"
Although Princess Anne did not pinpoint anyone specifically in her Vanity Fair interview, its been widely speculated that Prince William might share his father's views on a more streamlined monarchy. Her remarks also came in the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping down from frontline Royal duties and relocating to the USA.
Currently residing abroad with their two children Archie and Lilibet, the couple have settled into life across the pond.
