The Crofter's Rest in the Scottish Highlands village of Arisaig has been named one of the UK's 10 'pubs worth travelling for' by the Telegraph, home to delicious seafood.
A pub in a remote Scottish village has been crowned among the best in the UK, despite its isolated location hours away from any major town of city.
As reported by The Mirror, Arisaig's local pub The Crofter's Rest was recently voted fourth in a list of 10 "great British pubs worth travelling for" by The Telegraph. Located within the Arisaig Hotel, it offers breathtaking views of the Hebrides and its rugged, naturally beautiful coastline. Telegraph writer Will Hawkes stated: "The last time I stayed, I arrived by train. It's a five-hour journey up from Glasgow, but it's worth it, both for the views covering everything from the majestic expanse of Glenfinnan Viaduct to Rannoch Moor and the congenial atmosphere on board. Nothing beats arriving in the heart of the Highlands on a warm summer evening."
One recent visitor wrote: "Lovely friendly pub with fantastic beer and food. Had probably the best fish and chips ever, so good went back a second time."
