The same can be said when it comes to the federal government’s handling of coronavirus, with 82% of Democrats saying the federal government is generally doing a poor job, while 80% of Republicans responded the federal government is generally doing a good job. Four-in-10 of the poll’s respondents said they knew someone personally that had been diagnosed with coronavirus.Most of the models used by the CDC suggest the death toll from coronavirus in the U.S. will be near 100,000 by the beginning of June, with the agency noting thatof its forecasts that “all indicate an increase in deaths in the coming weeks.”
