Emergency services raced to the 'incident' on part of the Cockenzie Power Station site on Saturday afternoon.
Residents in an East Lothian town were urged to 'stay away' from power station following an incident.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent four appliances and special resources to the scene. Emergency services are believed to still be in the area, reports Edinburgh Live.
