Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is expected to set outIt comes after leading campaigners toldthat the scandal would never have happened if officials had heated medical products to prevent potential infections and that compensation has come too late.
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said he will support the Government’s commitment to delivering compensation.that the compensation package follows a promise he made to campaigner Mike Dorricott in 2014. Mr Hunt said the money will be funded through Government borrowing. He is expected to set out the compensation package as soon as Tuesday.
