Forecasters have warned of disruption and flooding ahead of Storm Agnes' arrival.
The first storm of the season is expected to bring 80mph winds and 60mm rainfall across the UK, with Scotland being one of the most affected locations. The Met Office has issued two yellow weather warnings for wind and rain that are to begin Wednesday morning and last until Thursday night.
Met Office weather maps show Storm Agnes reaching Glasgow by 1pm before spreading across most of the country by 4pm. A "danger to life" wind warning is to begin on Wednesday at 12pm and will last until Thursday at 7am. The second warning for rain lasts from Wednesday at 3pm until midnight on Thursday and has also been updated today, bringing both its start and end time forward.
Scots are being warned of possible injuries from flying debris as a result of high winds. There is also risk of flooding in certain areas, which may impact travel including public transport and may result in the odd road closure.
