Earlier this year, Harvey Martin, 10, made a video appeal through the Daily Record to former first minister Nicola Sturgeon, urging her to intervene and get him an operation to treat a curve in his spine.He had been on a waiting list for the surgery to his scoliosis for eight months and the curve was so bad that his ribcage was beginning to crush his other organs.
But this summer he was able to spend a week in York with his mum, Natalie, 45, dad Paul, 51, and six-year-old sister Emilia. Harvey has already been for a tour of Celtic Park with his dad Paul, who told the Record: “He managed to do the tour without having to use his wheelchair.Greg Taylor also sent him a happy birthday message and a Celtic top.
