Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed two key traits that the next Manchester United manager needs to be successful: a good personality and top communication skills.
The Dutchman has failed to capitalise on the trust placed in him, having won just three out of the 11 fixtures this season. And following draws against Porto and Aston Villa in his last two games, Ten Hag is now staring down the barrel with ex-Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel being considered to replace him.
"It is really important if you are going to manage a club the size of Manchester United: you do need a good personality, and you need some really good organisational skills in terms of dealing with different types of personalities and different types of players.
