Photos have emerged showing speeding enforcement vans blocking footpaths in Northern Ireland, in breach of their guidelines. The vans, operated by the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, are supposed to maintain a minimum clear passage width of 1.5 metres when deployed on footways. This is not the first time the vans have been observed breaking the guidelines.
Speeding enforcement vans have been found breaching their guidelines once again as photos emerge of them blocking footpaths. The mobile speeding enforcement vans , which are run by the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership , are meant to adhere to certain guidelines when monitoring speeding drivers, which include ensuring that when "deployment on a footway is necessary, maintain a minimum clear free passage width of 1.5 metres".
However despite this, the mobile enforcement vehicles have been seen across Northern Ireland blocking footpaths and pavements
