Have increased employee productivity by 16% in the past year, nearly double that of beginner-level innovators .Are 2-3 times more likely to say they’ve fundamentally changed software engineering, sales and marketing, customer service and more. “Focus on the customer” is a mantra at so many organizations, but it can’t be just lip service. Your culture has to be obsessed about creating value for a customer. Always assume your product can be better, or that customer needs are changing in ways that would make your current offering less suitable. But in developing the next change, work backward from what the customer wants to accomplish.
And if they tell you they don’t love your latest idea, be ready to understand their needs and change course. You have to be responsive, because you can’t argue a customer into loving your product.
