The free festival, which is now in its 34th year, will see 250 kites in the air set against the stunning backdrop of the pier, with a new addition to the programme
The much-anticipated St Annes Kite Festival is set to return later this month, with hundreds of kites expected to fill the skies above the seaside town. The annual event, which attracts visitors from across the UK and beyond, will be bigger than ever this year.
The festivities will continue over the weekend, starting at 11am on both days and concluding at 10pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday, reports the Manchester Evening News. Five arenas will be set up on either side of St Annes Pier, with more kites taking to the air than ever before. Workshops and hands-on demonstrations are all part of the fun, providing an opportunity for enthusiasts to up their game. Families heading to the event ought not to miss out on the joy of kite flying; they're welcome to bring along their colourful flyers or even purchase one at the beach, adding to the sky-high kaleidoscope of kites.
She continued with thanks: "I thank the organisers, supporters, and sponsors for their kind support. It's great to see such a busy weekend on the coast with an array of events for everyone."
