Storm Eowyn continues to wreak havoc across Northern Ireland, causing significant damage to the power grid and disrupting transportation services. Rail, flight, and ferry operations have been suspended, and rare red weather warnings are in effect. Thousands of homes and businesses are without power, with the number expected to rise. NIE Networks urges the public to exercise extreme caution around damaged power lines and electrical equipment.

People are being warned to stay well clear of damaged power lines as Storm Eowyn continues to cause significant damage to the electricity network across Northern Ireland .

As of 11:30am approximately 240,000 customers were without power but it's anticipated this number will continue to rise as the storm continues, according to NIE Networks.
