Airport parking can be very expensive, even if just dropping off or picking up passengers
Easter is almost here and we're nearing British Summer Time. For many people that can only mean one thing, the countdown to their holiday is well and truly on. Thousands of passengers will be jetting off from East Midlands Airport for that long-awaited break.
For those heading away, planning ahead for your trip is essential. One of the first things people have to think about is their journey to and from the airport. It's important to check in advance on the cost and time restrictions of options at the airport as nobody wants to return home to a parking fine on the doormat. When it comes to flying from East Midlands Airport, there are several options available, including a little-known drop-off and pick-up option that is completely free of charge.
Rapid drop-off is located just in front of the check in entrance. It is priced at £5 for 15 minutes, then you are charged £1 for every minute after.Prices start from £6 for up to a 30-minute stay. Short and mid-stay parking is a quick route to the terminal. In short stay 1 and 3 you can park for 30 minutes for £6 or for up to an hour for £8. Blue Badge parking is available at Short Stay 1 car park free of charge.
The airport also advises anyone who is planning on parking for more than an hour to book in advance online to get the best prices.
