Part of the roof of a McDonald’s restaurant collapsed onto two cars in Tracy, California, on Monday. No one was injured, but one of the vehicles was completely totaled, according toAt about 1:37 p.m. Monday, the South San Joaquin Fire Authority responded to a call that the terra cotta tile roofing overhang above the drive-thru waiting area of a McDonald’s at 236 E 11th St. collapsed.
"It was very apparent that the construction of the overhang was not engineered appropriately for the weight of the roofing material," Bagely said.BEST OF SFGATE
