The Didsbury bakery La Chouquette has taken Manchester by storm
A tiny south Manchester bakery with a legion of loyal fans has just won a prestigious title. La Chouquette, on Wilmslow Road, opened in December 2020 and was an instant success, with Didsbury locals queueing down the street for their croissants and bread.
In another post of the La Chouquette team themselves, collecting their best Manchester bakery award, the business said: "Last weekend, we’ve had the honour to win the regional awards for best bakery in Manchester at the England's Business Awards! Earlier this month, the hit eatery, launched by 25-year-old professional bakers Mairead Deignan and Florent Verove, announced it would expand to Poynton. Sharing the news in an Instagram post, the pair said they were 'so excited' for the 'new adventure'.
