follows two unsuspecting lovers during their explosive, sexual escapade in a quaint São Paulo, Brazil, restaurant for the "Are U gonna tell her?" music video she released Wednesday .
The demure characters -- a woman on a date with an angry man and a man waiting tables -- eye each other suspiciously across the venue, "tension is building with drinks" with the pulsating, hypnotic beats and the "boom, boom, boom, boom, boom" vibrations courtesy of Brazilian artist/rapper MC Zaac, who's featured on the track.
The woman makes her way to him, and the two embark on their risque rendezvous across the restaurant floor and on customers' tables, their fluid movements taking a page out of an Afro-Brazilian-native capoeira notebook while retaining its sexual flare. "Our bodies tangled tight in the purple light/ We're making love, passed out, we look so damn good tonight," Tove Lo narrates throughout the chorus from her perched position on people's tables.
Brazilian duo Alaska Filmes helmed the short film, an important cultural note Tove Lo wanted to make with the visual. "Brazil really has a special place in my heart. To be able to shoot this video in São Paulo, with all Brazilian cast and crew was SO amazing! I'm working on my Portuguese," the singer said in a press release. "Director duo Alaska, you are true geniuses and I think this passion drama mini film is PERFECT.
