It's not yet known what started the fire
on Kilmarnock Road in the city's Southside went on fire on Tuesday evening.
Around 40 firefighters battled the blaze until the early hours of Wednesday morning while police locked down the road to divert drivers away from the flames.now derelict building via the Salvation ArmyThe cinema, which first opened in the 1920s, was a popular spot in the Southside known for its double seats for courting couples.A spokesperson said:"We were alerted at 6.
"There were no reported casualties and one appliance remains on the scene as of Wednesday, July 12, to reinspect the building for any hotspots."
