Saturday will be mostly cloudy and hot with highs reaching 86 degrees before temperatures drop to 70 degrees at night, the agency stated. The heat and rain will return Sunday with a high of 88 and a 30 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m., bringing a cold front to the region. A 20 percent chance of thunderstorms will remain into Sunday evening and will bring a brief cooling to the area heading into Monday, according to the NWS.
