The John Lewis Christmas advert 2024 has been unveiled - and it's nothing like the retailer has ever done before.
John Lewis has finally unveiled its eagerly awaited Christmas advert for 2024, following the release of two teaser ads.
The plot sees Sally rushing into a John Lewis store as it's about to close, and while frantically searching through a rack of dresses, she unexpectedly steps out of a wardrobe into her childhood home. Eventually, Sally has an epiphany, thanks to the child version of her sister, and is finally seen exiting John Lewis with a beautifully wrapped gift, before meeting her sister for a heartwarming moment.
"That's why I believe viewers will truly connect with our heroine - as she dives into a rack of dresses, exploring her memories in search of that special gift. The Gifting Hour is a glorious visual and emotional feast which is both grown-up and childlike at the same time." Instead of retracing familiar steps, John Lewis is dialing up the 90s nostalgia this year by setting its Christmas advert to Richard Ashcroft's 2021 rendition of The Verve's classic hit 'Sonnet' from 1997.
