Jordan Willis offered a remarkably humble take Thursday about heroically blocking a punt Saturday night to trigger the 49ers’ path into the NFC Championship Game.
SANTA CLARA — Jordan Willis’ blocked punt saved the 49ers’ season. Only he doesn’t want to say so.
They’re in the NFC Championship Game for the second time in three years. DeMeco Ryans, the 49ers’ defensive coordinator, said that bulletin-board material has lost its luster in today’s games because of so much information from so many outlets and people. “I don’t know if particular material can get guys pumped up.
